Types of Steel Gates We Build

Driveway Gates

Our most common gate project is the residential driveway gate. Perth homes increasingly prefer the security and privacy of a full-width gate spanning the driveway opening. We build both single and double-leaf configurations to suit your driveway width, and we design the gate weight and balance to work with either manual operation or automated gate motors. Steel Gate Materials & Finishes

All gates are fabricated in mild steel RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section), SHS (Square Hollow Section) or solid flat bar, depending on the design. After fabrication, gates are:

• Shot-blasted — removes mill scale and contaminants for a clean surface
• Primed — rust-inhibiting primer coat applied to all surfaces including welds
• Powder-coated — durable polyester powder coat in any Dulux colour; standard or textured finishes available

For coastal Perth properties, we can also specify hot-dip galvanising beneath the powder coat for maximum long-term corrosion protection. Stainless steel gates (316 grade) are also available for high-end applications or locations requiring a maintenance-free, polished appearance.

Gate Posts & Hinges

A gate is only as good as its posts and hardware. We fabricate and supply heavy-duty steel gate posts sized to the weight of the gate, using adjustable weld-on or bolt-on hinges rated to exceed the gate’s design life. Post footings are specified to suit Perth’s sandy soils and meet AS 1684 framing standards for lateral loads. If you already have existing brick piers, we can design gate frames to suit a surface-mounted installation.
